<\/p>\nA Racist Hispanic Hampshire College student is facing criminal charges after she\u00a0assaulted a visiting team\u2019s white basketball players over their\u00a0\u201cculturally appropriated\u201d hair braids\u2014a racially motivated hate crime.<\/p>\n
After the team members dismissed her demands, Carmen\u00a0started a kicking the shit out of\u00a0one of them. Another racist Hampshire College student, who also participated in the incident, pulled the hair of one of the white players and caused her to fall down, causing injuries, local news reports said.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, Figueroa stomped\u00a0on the fallen player and injured her. The documents also claim that one Central Maine Community College\u00a0player tried to protect her teammate, but\u00a0Figueroa \u201cgrabbed her by the head and threw her to the ground as well,\u201d causing her to suffer scratches and bruises to her body.<\/p>\n
The two coaches helped\u00a0break up the fight, while Figueroa \u201cscreamed profanities\u00a0and racial slurs\u201d towards the Maine basketball team and tried to punch other white female players.<\/p>\n
Hampshire, a small private liberal arts college in Massachusetts,\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0comment on the incident, only confirming the accused student\u2019s continued enrollment\u00a0at the school.<\/p>\n
More than anything, this woman needs to be charged with a hate crime and suspended from school. Instead, a\u00a0university spokesperson. hid behind the often used cop-out of an excuse stating; \u201cBecause it\u2019s an active, ongoing District Court proceeding, the college has no comment at this time.” There has been a huge outcry from the public to charge the racist hispanic woman with a hate crime.<\/p>\n
She was leading the charge last year to expel students who hadn\u2019t been arrested for a crime. But now, she\u2019s actually been arrested, she committed her racial hate crime in front of lots of people, and she beat up\u00a0the other girls because the color of their\u00a0skin didn\u2019t match the hairstyle on their\u00a0heads. That\u2019s racial prejudice. That\u2019s discrimination. That\u2019s a hate crime.<\/p>\n
